Assassin’s Creed 3 receives first in-game screenshots

Good news for budding Assassins, as the first in-game screenshots for Assassin’s Creed 3 have made their way onto the internet.

The images, which can be seen above, show alpha footage of the latest instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. From what we can gather, the game will take on a more open world style of gameplay, a stark contrast from previous iterations in the series, which has focused more on claustrophobic cities filled with high structures. It looks like protagonist Connor will be sneaking his way through dense forests and even dangerous battlefields in order to (we assume) assassinate his enemies.

If the game is going towards a more open world theme, then we can’t even begin to contain our excitement.

Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released on the 31st October here in the UK. Ubisoft recently announced that there will be three special edition copies of the game available upon its release.
